Reiki: The Practice
The original Five Elements of Reiki Practice continues to provide a grounding framework for both working within the system and expanding a practitioner’s ongoing awareness and growth. Part of this framework includes daily respect for the Five Reiki Precepts.
A precept is a general principle intended to inform behavior or thought. The Five Precepts are held only for the present moment, each moment. This energizes focus on the singular moment of attention.
Another aspect of the Five Elements framework includes Reiju, a formal blessing passed on from teacher to student. The western concept of attunement evolved from this blessing. Attunement opens, strengthens, and focuses the capacity to facilitate the flow of life source energy that all living entities possess.
